I'm going to make a bold stand here: I happen to like food.
Most of the time it's tasty, it's satisfying, and it's a great
way to break up the day. But I don't like all food. I'm somewhat
picky, often embarissingly so. Although I'm no health-nut,
I try to eat reasonably healthy on a day-to-day basis. At
the very least, I try not to eat too much at once.
I also like to cook. Most of the time it's fun, it's satisfying,
and it makes the kitchen smell great. But I don't like all
cooking. I'm not a "foodie". Long, complex recipes
intimidate me. Exotic, hard-to-find ingredients are too elusive.
Also, I'm practically obsessed with cost- I want to make the
best food I can make at the lowest price possible without
sacrificing quality.
